Filing a business registration in Austria
An activity that is subject to the Trade Regulations can be exercised independently, regularly and with the intention of making a profit if the trade has been registered with the competent trade authority having jurisdiction for the business location.
The registration may be filed in person, in writing or also electronically – informally or using a form. The business registration is legally valid immediately if all the prerequisites have been fulfilled and all the necessary documents have been appended to the application. The trade can be practised as from the day of registration.
